Celebrates 75 years of Innovative Science at the Montlake Facility

Event Program

Marker Dedication Ceremony
Honored guest and NOAA Administrator Vice Admiral Conrad C. Lautenbacher, Jr., US Navy (ret.) and Casey Brennan (NOS National Geodetic Survey) dedicate a commemorative geodetic marker—the first in NOAA Fisheries-- that identifies the Montlake Laboratory as a historic building.

The marker is also a working tool in the science of positioning, and joins hundreds of thousands of geodetic markers in the National Spatial Reference System currently used to determine position, height, shoreline and gravity throughout the United States.
