Greening Montlake
The Center is partnering with King County on a $40,000 project to reduce Montlake facility's stormwater runoff, remove invasive species, and perform water quality testing. A portion of the parking lot will be replaced with permeable concrete and a grass area will be replaced with a native riparian buffer.

NWFSC Scientists Featured at Upcoming Conference
Conservation Biology Division scientists Michelle McClure and Mark Plummer are featured speakers at the upcoming Pacific Salmonid Recovery Conference on October 28-30, 2009. They will show how they use models to estimate the biological benefits of improvements across all four Hs (hydropower, hatcheries, harvest and habitat), and how this contributes to salmon recovery planning in the Columbia Basin.
