Commencement Bay Restoration Site Fish Monitoring
Description
The objective of this project is to monitor fish use of restoration sites in
Commencement Bay, Washington. Researchers are conducting biweekly/monthly beach seine and block net sampling at seven estuarine restoration sites in Commencement Bay. The data will be used to evaluate fish utilization of the restoration sites. Particular emphasis is placed on juvenile salmonids, which are sampled for analysis of abundance, distribution, size, diet and exposure to chemical contaminants.
