The Watershed Program at the Northwest Fisheries Science Center is proud to announce that its biennial Open House will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at the Museum of History and Industry. A detailed agenda can be found here. Abstracts can be found here.
Open House presentations will describe completed and on-going scientific research in the following areas:
- Estimates, predictions, and ecology over big areas
- Secrets of life history diversity
- Experiments in nutrient additions
- Recolonization and reintroduction
- Informing policy and management
This year's presentations will include landscapes and pre-spawn mortality; Elwah River research; salmon life history diversity in Alaska; floodplains; non-indigenous species and much, much more.
To help us plan for space, please RSVP to nwfsc.watershed.program@noaa.gov. Let us know the number of people attending from your organization in the title and send their names and contact information in the body of the e-mail if possible.
We will confirm RSVPs beginning October 29th and about once a week after that. We are excited about the Open House and hope you are planning to attend.
