Background
Dr. Dezhang Chu joined FRAM's Acoustics Team in October, 2007. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Geosciences in Wuhan, China, and a Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of Wisconsin. Prior to joining the FRAM Division, Dr. Chu worked at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI).
Current Research
Dr. Chu's research interests cover a variety of topics in fisheries acoustics. His current research focuses on applying advanced sampling technologies to fisheries surveys, developing more advanced data processing techniques, and developing more sophisticated and robust scattering models.
