Background
Beth Sanderson joined NOAA Fisheries in 1999 as a Fisheries Research Scientist. Beth holds a B.A. in Biology and French from Central College and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Current Research
Beth is an aquatic and ecosystem ecologist. She uses a variety of approaches to identify patterns and evaluate processes in freshwater systems. Her current research projects examine 1) the importance of marine derived nutrients for stream productivity and juvenile salmon, 2) the impacts of non-indigenous species on salmon and their ecosystems, and 3) consequences of the loss and modification of habitat utilized by adult and juvenile chinook in Puget Sound.
