Background

Jason Hall's research interests include the influence of physical conditions within estuarine, nearshore, and ocean habitats on the behavior, distribution, and abundance of salmonids and forage fish. In addition, he is interested in the development and implementation of restoration effectiveness monitoring plans in nearshore and estuarine restoration projects targeting salmonids.

Current Research

Jason's current research projects include the estuarine ecology of juvenile Chinook salmon and other nearshore fishes in Puget Sound; linkages between of physical conditions within estuarine, nearshore, and ocean habitats on the behavior, distribution, and abundance of salmonids and forage fish; restoration effectiveness monitoring; and investigation of the relationships between life-stage specific environmental conditions and adult salmon returns.
