aFor rivers with two peaks, the indicated month is the timing of the first peak which is generally the larger of the two. The second peak is larger than the first peak for the Stillaguamish, Puyallup, Dosewallips, Dungeness, Elwah, Waatch, Sooes, and White Salmon Rivers
bDuration of peak flow is defined as the number of months when flow is equal to or exceeds 50% of peak flow
cFlow per area is expressed as the average annual flow divided by the gauged area reported for the gauging station
dMinimum flow as a percentage of maximum flow is calculated as the ratio of minimum to maximum flows multiplied by 100 to create a percentage
