The Montlake Meal Process

The Montlake Meal Process, developed in conjunction with the Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation and NWFSC, combines wet reduction technology with ensiling. This process can economically recover fish protein, oil, and other products in many remote locations not suited for currently available processes. In pilot studies, the Montlake Meal Process has produced high quality protein meals for use in aquaculture feeds for both salmonids and marine fish.
