For undergraduates

Undergraduate research is common in the Ecotoxicology Program, particular during the summer months when students seek full time opportunities for hands-on science. Undergraduates are supported in a variety of ways, including programs available through their home institutions. Also, the NOAA Office of Education sponsors the Hollings Scholarship Program. Hollings awards support undergraduate research and place students in NOAA research laboratories, and there are typically one or more scholars working with Ecotox scientists each summer. Other opportunities for undergraduates are also available, such as those offered by professional scientific societies and private foundations. Undergraduates interested in any of the Ecotox research areas should contact the designated Program Contact for that area.
