This is a set of three short videos and supplementary materials designed to teach 5th grade students about microscopes. Each video highlights a NOAA scientist interacting with students and explaining how microscopes are used in his or her work. The videos provide a real-world link between classroom studies using microscopes, and scientists using microscopes. The NOAA Microworlds videos are available for general distribution from the AFSC (firstname.lastname@example.org), and the videos can be viewed at vimeo.com/noaaomc/videos. NOAA microworlds was produced by NOAA’s Ocean Media Center and the Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC) in Seattle, WA.
